Ive used Health Street 2 times at this point. They are connected to multiple labs with varying lab hours which makes things very simple. They send email (and text messages if you consent to this) with very clear instructions for both you and the lab staff. They keep you updated throughout the entire process. Results come back very quickly. Im a very happy customer.

The process of find a screening location and registering and paying online was nice and easy and convenience. However, once I got to the testing center, I literally waited 2-hrs to do a 5 min of urine screening test. That is not acceptable. They said they only had one doctor working, however a urine screen does not require a doctor. However, getting my results the same day in a matter of hrs was a nice convenience,So thats why I cant give a five star.

The COVID-19 pandemic affected the lives of millions and certainly negatively affected the lives of people struggling with mental health problems and drug abuse.

Local initiatives to curb substance abuse in Baltimore, MD

One in five people in Baltimore has a mental health disorder that can lead to drug abuse. Statistically, 18 percent of people from Baltimore struggle with some form of mental health issue, and 10.7 percent of people struggle with substance use disorder.

Locals are trying to curb these high numbers by three main methods: saving lives with naloxone, increasing access to treatment, and educating people to eliminate the stigma of drug addiction.

Naloxone is a medication used to reverse the effects of opioid overdoses. Ensuring that naloxone is widely available for people who need it can save lives. In the past, insufficient services to treat opioid addiction was an issue. Baltimore has been working to increase the treatment availability and educate people about addiction as a disease similar to heart disease, which is preventable and treatable.
