5 Panel Drug Test$75 See all reviews
A 5 Panel Drug Test is a urine drug test that screens for commonly used drugs. It's the most basic of all of the drug testing panels that we offer. This test is sent to a SAMHSA certified laboratory for analysis, and results are reviewed by our Medical Review Officer, a licensed physician. Results take about one business day for negatives, and three to five business days to confirm non-negatives.
5 Panel Drug Test Options
Instant 5 Panel
Same as the 5 panel, but with rapid results for negative screens. Non-negatives still get sent off to the lab for confirmation testing.
5 Panel Plus Alcohol
This option adds a look back for alcohol consumption over a short 12 hour period.
5 Panel Plus EtG Alcohol
This option adds an extended 3 day EtG look back for the presence of alcohol or its metabolites.
5 Panel Minus THC
Some employers, especially in states where marijuana is legal, don't feel it's right to include THC in their employment drug tests. This test is a standard 5 panel in every way except it excludes a screening for cannabinoids.
5 Panel Plus Expanded Opiates
Add a screening for widely abused drugs like expanded opiates like hyrdocodone and oxycodone, plus a screening for MDMA, which is also known as Molly or Ecstasy.
5 Panel Plus Nicotine
Some insurers or employers need to test for nicotine in addition to a basic 5 panel because of the risk that tobacco poses to their clients or employees.
About This Product
Rapid Drug Test vs. Lab TestThe 5 panel drug test is offered as either a lab test or an instant drug test (also known as a rapid). Are you an employer trying to decide between the 2 options? Consider these important differences: Health Street's Instant 5 Panel drug test is a great option for companies who are trying to get their staff on the job as quickly as possible. Permitted by most states, an instant drug test (also known as a rapid test) offers the speed that employers are looking for when time is critical and the job candidates are clean of any substances. Our technology allows for our Medical Review Officer (a physician, also called an "MRO") to review instant drug tests in real time. Furthermore, if the initial screening is not negative, the specimen still gets a rigorous, certified laboratory analysis. Some employers simply prefer the security of a certified lab test for all of their pre-employment and random drug testing services. When you order a lab-based 5 Panel, the specimen are collected and then need to travel to the lab facility, typically by overnight courier, and as such, negative results will not come back until at least the next business day.
How Far Does It Go Back?In general, the window of detection for a 5 Panel Urine Drug Test is up to a week. However, this varies depending on several factors. Typically, “harder” drugs like cocaine exit the system faster, while “softer” drugs like marijuana tend to stay around for a while. Some other factors play a role as well like metabolism, frequency of use, and body fat percentage.
