In February 2023, Representative Josh Harder delivered a check in the amount of $255,000 to the Tracy Police Department. These funds have been designated to pay for a new project that is focused on identifying and tracking vehicles that are involved in drug smuggling and human trafficking. The San Joaquin County Public Health Services (PHS) department has recently launched a new initiative, called Fentanyl is Forever, aimed at reducing fentanyl-related drug overdose deaths in Tracy and the surrounding area. The program will blanket the area with information regarding the dangers of fentanyl using tactics such as ads on the sides of buses, social media posts, and radio commercials.
