During a search warrant, authorities discovered 752 grams of fentanyl, 76 grams of methamphetamine, and 15 firearms. The firearms included a sawed-off shotgun, assault rifles, high-capacity magazines, 12 pistols, and thousands of rounds of ammunition. The 60-year-old man faced drug and firearm charges.
In Santa Cruz in 2021, the Santa Cruz Police Department evacuated unsanctioned campers near San Lorenzo Riverbank because of flooding. During the evacuation, police seized drugs and arrested a 31-year-old man who had a sheath knife around his neck.
