Notable Historical Events Related to Drug Use in Denton

In June 2018, the Denton Police Department responded to three opioid overdose calls for assistance in a single week. Officers administered Naloxone (Narcan) to reverse the overdoses of three different people on three different nights. Each administration of Narcan was successful and the overdosed individuals regained consciousness. The incident prompted the local police to warn residents of a potential “bad batch” of heroin.
