Its abuse increased hospitalization by over 245 percent from 2008 to 2015, and is still growing at an astonishing rate.

Local initiatives to curb drug abuse in Birmingham, Alabama

The Addiction Prevention Coalition targets substance abuse in Central Alabama with the goal of eliminating addiction. The non-profit has supported the greater Birmingham community for more than ten years.
