Most teens obtain these drugs from family, friends, or their home medicine cabinets. One-third of these teens believe it’s acceptable to use drugs not prescribed to them for issues like pain management. At least 43% of teens think prescription drugs are more accessible than illicit ones, with commonly abused drugs including pain relievers, stimulants, and tranquilizers.
