In response to the execution of an August 2022 search warrant, three Palm Bay men were charged with a wide variety of drug trafficking offenses after local law enforcement discovered a large number of drugs. According to reports, a Brevard County SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) Team served a search warrant in the 3200 block of Tarpon Avenue following an ongoing investigation.
Inside the home, law enforcement recovered a total of 2,084 grams of cocaine, 412 grams of fentanyl, and 68 grams of oxycodone. Officers also seized more than $47,000, along with an AR pistol. The three Palm Bay men found inside the residence at the time of the search were charged with trafficking cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and oxycodone, and were booked at the Brevard County Jail Complex.
Local Initiatives Relating to Substance Use in Palm Bay, FL
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced a new opioid recovery program called Coordinated Opioid Recovery in August 2022 during a visit to Brevard County.
