In March of 2022, two men were arrested after officers seized weapons and illegal drugs from their homes in Phoenix and Mesa, AZ. Police officers involved with the "Violent Crime Reduction Project" discovered that Anthony Vega, 52, was selling drugs from his home near Mesa Drive and Broadway Rd. Inside his home, Vega had large quantities of methamphetamine, blue m-30 pills, and heroin, and he admitted to having the intent to sell the drugs. Officers seized 43.7 grams of heroin, 37.2 grams of methamphetamine, 4.4 grams of cocaine, 23.1 blue m-30 pills, two weapons, and $5,440 in cash. Another man, Oscar Arrez, 32, was in the home and also admitted to selling drugs from his home in Phoenix. From his home, police seized 15,000 blue m-30 pills, 12 guns, and cash.
