Montgomery County Launches Law Enforcement Treatment Initiative

To continue helping residents who are suffering from drug addiction, Montgomery County recently launched its Law Enforcement Treatment Initiative (LETI). This program allows residents who need assistance with their addiction to go to their local police station and ask for help. Residents can also be made aware of and referred to the program by law enforcement officials as a diversion from arrest or prosecution.

Regarding this initiative, Attorney General Shapiro said, "As we continue to combat the opioid epidemic in Pennsylvania, giving individuals access to the treatment they need will save lives and make our communities safer."
