In 2015, a man from Farmville, VA plead guilty to possession and distribution of cocaine and marijuana. This included one count of possession or distribution with the intent to distribute a controlled substance on school property or within 1,000 feet of school property.

In 2017, a man and woman of Farmville, VA were arrested in Arizona for drug trafficking following a routine traffic stop, when officers found over three pounds of methamphetamine and some marijuana. Both faced multiple charges, including possession or use of a dangerous drug, possession of a dangerous drug for sale, transporting a dangerous drug, and possession or use of drug paraphernalia.

In March of 2018, an ongoing drug investigation led to the arrests of two men in Farmville, VA. The men were arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of schedule I or II illegal narcotics, and possession of a firearm while in possession of schedule I or schedule II narcotics.

Also in March of 2018 in Farmville, VA, four people were arrested in another drug bust after a search warrant uncovered marijuana, which was intended for distribution. This search led investigators to a Longwood University residence hall, where more marijuana was found, along with $8,000 cash.

This same investigation led to another search the next day at another home. Officers seized marijuana, hallucinogenic narcotics, and five firearms.
