Chattanooga Police Department announced the indictments for crimes including 2nd-degree murder, criminally negligent homicide, delivery of fentanyl, delivery of methamphetamine, and more.
Zac McCullough, Assistant Chief of Investigations, stated that these indictments "represent just a small fraction of a horrible epidemic sweeping our country, and impacting our community." According to CPD data, there were 266 fatal overdoses in the city between 2020 and May of 2022. During that same time period, there were 15 death investigations leading to 22 arrests and an additional 14 indictments.
