The legal action comes as part of an overall approach to reducing deadly overdose and substance abuse throughout the Rockland County area. In partnership with the New York Department of Mental Health, Rockland County has hosted multiple Drug Take Back Days and Narcan trainings. Furthermore, the county has teamed up with local hospitals and health organizations to promote safe prescribing education and requirements.
