Under the Massachusetts Good Samaritan Law, a person who witnesses an overdose and seeks local emergency personnel will be protected from arrest and drug possession, paraphernalia possession, and under the influence prosecution. The Massachusetts Good Samaritan Law also protects the individual who is experiencing the drug overdose from arrest and prosecution.
