In January of 2020, nine people were indicted and charged with conspiracies to distribute fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine in Clarksville, TN. The indictments were the result of an investigation by local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies that began in 2018 after a series of overdoses in the area. The investigation led to multiple controlled buys and the seizures of heroin, fentanyl, marijuana, cocaine, several firearms, and drug paraphernalia used in packaging and distributing the drugs. One or more defendants may also have been involved in distributing more than 50 kilograms of heroin in Clarksville and surrounding areas.
