In March 2023, two Carrollton women were arrested after authorities discovered about 40 pounds of cocaine in their vehicle. The women were stopped in their vehicle one morning just before 3 a.m. for failure to maintain lane, tag obstruction, and a vehicle tint violation. Officers deployed a K-9, which detected the odor of narcotics, and cocaine was found hidden inside a compartment in the vehicle. The 29- and 38-year-old Carrollton women were arrested on trafficking charges and other trafficking offenses.

"Professionally, it is my responsibility, as the Executive Director of Carroll County Mental Health Advocates, to serve the community as a resource for the missing link to individuals and families impacted by mental illness and addiction. I am truly blessed to be able to be paid to live out my calling in life."
