Toledo occupational health laws include Policy 12 of Lucas County’s Policies and Procedures, which states that accident and incident investigations and reporting are crucial to determine the factors that caused the incident. Lucas County employers must report to the County Office of Management and Budget Risk Management Division for all occupational illnesses and injuries of county employees, injuries to visiting public, and on-the-job vehicular accidents. Policy 12 also offers procedures for action during a workplace illness or injury.

Toledo workplace health laws for correctional facility employees include Workplace Safety and Environmental Mandate Policies provided by the state of Ohio. These policies include a tobacco-free workplace, respirator use and training, fire prevention and safety, confined space, control of hazardous energy, hazard communications, chemical control guidelines, injury prevention plan, staff exposure to blood-borne pathogens, electrical safety in the workplace, naloxone safety and health procedures, and safety of radiation generating equipment.

Toledo Antibody Testing

The COVID-19 Antibody Test checks for antibodies in a person’s blood that protect against SARS-CoV-2. Use this test to determine if Toledo employees have previously recovered from COVID-19 or received a COVID-19 vaccine.

Hepatitis A infections can be spread via water, food, and close contact with individuals who are infected.
