I found Health-Street online needing a drug test that same day and it was already late afternoon. Customer service went above and beyond to assist me. They actually found a lab in Ocala that would do my collection at 5:45pm when the other labs have a 3pm collection cut off time. Substance Abuse Statistics for Florida

Florida has seen the effects of the opioid epidemic worsen with fentanyl and it’s off shoots fueling a rise in deaths from 2016 into 2107.

Cocaine deaths were also on the rise at a faster rate than previous years. Authorities believe some drugs are being ‘cut’ or supplemented with opioids like fentanyl.

Meth-related deaths increased dramatically in 2016. Health care officials and law enforcement estimated that there were 200 additional deaths at midyear 2017 than 2016.

Substance Abuse Statistics for Ocala

Only seven counties had more per capita fentanyl-related deaths than Marion County where there were between 10 and 15 deaths. Only five counties had as bad or worse per capita cocaine deaths. MArion had between 15 and 20. Marion county had around 20 to 25 morphine-related deaths and only two counties had more than that.

There was only one fentanyl-related death in Marion County in 2010. Other counties nearby had anywhere from 0 to 3 deaths.

In 2016, fentanyl-caused deaths rose to 39 in Marion County, which was several times higher than neighboring counties.
