What inspired you to join Health Street in 2016, and how has your journey been since then?

In late 2015, I was 21, working a serving job, recording/performing music, and scrolling online for new jobs here and there. I had no idea what Health Street was. I just applied online and couldn't tell you what site it was from. When I learned what Health Street was in my initial interview, I realized this was something I could find interesting. I remember feeling so intrigued by the type of job this is.

I was hired almost instantly and started the first week of January 2016. I caught on immediately, and the rest is history. My journey here has been one for the books. I've learned a lot about myself in the process, and I think the best part of the journey is every day being something new and never having to feel like I'm in limbo.

As the Senior Account Executive and Call Center Supervisor, what interesting stories could you share with us?

Working at Health Street comes with many interesting stories—some funny, some serious, some dramatic, and even some extremely sad. The majority of the time, we get callers who ask frequent questions like "Will I fail if I just smoked THC last week?" or "How could I pass a drug test?" or even "Can I bring someone else's urine?" Most of the time, my answer is the same. JUST DON'T DO DRUGS.

To go into further detail, we have clients who give us trouble from the start, give fake samples, alter results, send in a look-alike with their own ID, or try to drink the "cleanse" drinks that just don't work. Somehow, they are always caught. However, on the brighter side, it always brings me joy to help people in this industry, as we can help anyone, from parents to lawyers, court cases, employers, probation, and even someone just testing for their own curiosity.

What is the best part of working with Health Street's clients?

The best part of working with clients is delivering results in a timely manner and hearing, "Thank you so much; you just saved me." That keeps me going.

What challenges have you faced while managing the call center, and how have you overcome them?

One of the most challenging things about working in a call center is keeping everyone on the same page. Things change constantly here, as we are extremely fast-paced. Some may catch on faster than others, some may get overwhelmed, and the best solution is to help each other out as much as possible.

You have a passion for music. If you could create a theme song for Health Street, what would it be and why?

This is interesting and funny. I would name the song "Anywhere, Everywhere." The title speaks for itself: We are nationwide with ALL our services, and you can always count on us. It would be an upbeat R&B/pop record.

What's a fun fact about yourself that most people at Health Street might not know?

I collect 90's/early 00's Nostalgia. I also really enjoy playing Basketball.

You've been with Health Street for nine years. Does it ever get boring?

Most would think working at the same employer for nine years could get boring, but truthfully, it's different every single day. Being able to speak with so many different people and knowing Health Street could change anyone's situation—I am extremely proud of that.

I remember I had a client who was on random drug screenings for quite some time, maybe a few years. Once her program was up, she called me crying with tears of joy and just expressing her gratitude, and that's what makes it worth it for me every single time.

You've received certification as a Guest Services Professional. How has this training impacted your work at Health Street?

I applied everything I was taught in the Hospitality industry to Health Street. This includes the tone of voice, body language, trust, patience, following a question up with a question, and basically letting all clients know that they are in good hands and making sure they feel comfortable. These things apply when making a sale, speaking with a client, etc.

Outside of work, it's known that you enjoy cooking and trying new restaurants. What's your favorite dish to make, and do you have a go-to restaurant?

Cooking-wise, I am famous for my Chicken Parmesan. I love to cook a wide range of foods, but that seems to be everyone's go-to from me, as it's just in my blood, being Sicilian. As far as restaurants go, I am not so picky. I would never pass up a trip to Applebee's, a Latin restaurant, or a local spot for some wings. I love food.

Looking ahead, what are your personal and professional goals for the future?

My goals remain the same, as I love what I do. I want to stay in this industry with Health Street and continue to prosper on this path. I also plan on making a lot of new music. I never take life for granted.
