There are several types of DNA tests, and this Health Street kit can be used for any of them. Whether you are testing for maternity, paternity, aunt or uncle, sibling or half-sibling, or grandparentage, this kit is for you! You can either administer this test at home and mail the cheek swabs back into our lab, or you can set up an appointment to bring the kit into one of our clinics for a professional swab. If you are looking for court admissible results, which we always recommend if one of the parties is a minor, then you'll want to set an appointment by choosing our legal paternity test. This kit means that now you have even more options when it comes to DNA testing. If you desire privacy and anonymity, this kit can be used without even providing us with your real name. You can also swab yourself and compare it with specimens that you have found, such as hair or fingernail clippings, to see if there is a match. If one or more of the specimens are not simple cheek swabs, you'll want to choose our alternative specimen DNA test (hair, teeth, fabric). It's harder to get DNA out of specimens that aren't cheek swabs, so choosing one of these methods is riskier and more expensive, but we do it all the time, and mostly we are able to extract the DNA and provide peace of mind to our clients.
