The Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) Check, also known as a Department of Motor Vehicles Check, searches an individual's driving history. We'll search the records in the state where the person's driver's license is registered. Other states may also be requested if needed.

How long will results take for a Motor Vehicle Records Check?
A MVR report is usually completed very quickly. Results will vary depending on the state, and may take one or two days or longer. Note that the state Pennsylvania takes longer if the employer has not registered beforehand.
How does Health Street determine which state(s) to check a person's driving history?
We will perform the MVR check in the state that the person holds a driver's license. Additional states may be added upon request as well.
Where can I get a MVR report?
Our MVR screening is performed electronically, meaning that you and the person you're screening do not need to go to any location in person. Simply register for the MVR check online, we'll request the driver license directly from your employee, and we'll handle the rest.
How far back does a MVR report check?
Our MVR check will look at a person's driving history for the past 3 years in most states, subject to the information they permit and make available.
Is a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) Check the same thing as a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Check?

Registering for Background Check Services
Registering for a background check is fast, and can be done online or via phone. If this is the first time that the company has ordered a background check, then we will send you an agreement for the background screening service. We will also send a waiver for the person being screened to give us approval to proceed. Both of these documents will be delivered and signed electronically, and the background screening will automatically begin once they have been signed. When the requested services have been completed, a background screening report will be stored securely in our online portal.
