Arizona is one of 28 states and territories that operates its own OSHA-approved plan. The Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH) has been in place since June 20, 1985. It covers state and local employers and all private sector workplaces in the state, with a few exceptions.

Finally, on December 15, 2021, Executive Order 2021-21 was issued, prohibiting state and local governments from requiring COVID-19 vaccinations, except for state-licensed healthcare institutions.

Some workplace occupational health guidelines are designed to minimize the potential for employees to suffer injuries on the job due to a lack of physical fitness. For example, to be employed by the Chandler Police Department, candidates must undergo a medical examination and must meet minimum vision and hearing standards. Candidates for firefighter positions in the City of Chandler must have passed a candidate physical abilities test (CPAT) and pass a medical evaluation test showing that they meet the qualifications to wear a tight-fitting respirator.

Chandler Antibody Testing
