About Sufentanil

What Is Sufentanil?

Sufentanil is an opioid agonist that is classified as a Schedule II drug due to its high potential for abuse, addiction, or dependence. This pain relieving drug is only intended for use in a supervised medical setting, and to be administered by qualified medical professionals. Despite the restrictions around the use of this drug, some people still find a way to abuse it in pursuit of the euphoric high it may create. Although closely related to fentanyl, sufentanil’s effects occur much more quickly and can be 5 to 10 times more potent than fentanyl. An overdose of this drug can be fatal.
