In January 2023, a woman was arrested after officers discovered she was smuggling drugs from her home in San Pedro. LASD’s Organized Crime Task Force obtained a tip about county jail inmates conspiring to smuggle in narcotics. Authorities began surveillance on the woman’s home and received a search warrant. After searching the home, officers seized three pounds of methamphetamine, 100 fentanyl pills, a ghost gun, a rifle, a stolen revolver, digital scales, cash, and packaging for narcotics sales. The San Pedro women faced multiple charges.
