Woman killed one person and injured two after driving under the influence
In April 2022, an intoxicated woman killed one person and injured another two after she crashed her car in Saint Peters. When her car drifted into oncoming traffic, she hit another vehicle, resulting in one death and two injuries. One injury was severe.
Further investigations discovered that the woman was speeding under the influence of alcohol. She also was found in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The woman was charged with DWI resulting in someone's death, DWI leading to severe physical harm to another person, illegal possession of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia, and driving with an invalid driver's license.
Saint Peters man sentenced to prison after conspiring to distribute drugs
A 48-year-old St. Peters man was found conspiring to distribute methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin. The man pleaded guilty and was sentenced to over 22 years in prison for conspiring to distribute the substances.
The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) made multiple undercover purchases during the investigation, which led to the man's co-conspirator. A search of his vehicle revealed $197,660, believed to be earnings from drug sales. After purchasing drugs from the man directly from his home, the residence was searched. Authorities seized over 5,500 grams of meth, over 5,000 grams of heroin, and almost 4,000 grams of cocaine. In another location, they also took 20 firearms.
