In July 2023, an Elizabethtown woman was arrested and placed behind bars for trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine. Officers first conducted a traffic stop and notified the woman about a search warrant. They took her home, and she showed authorities where she had the drugs. Officers seized two pounds of cocaine, eight pounds of methamphetamine, and more. The women had the methamphetamine in the bedroom, and the cocaine was in the kitchen, packaged for sale. She also had digital scales. Her two children were in her home during the search.
