According to reports, the defendant trafficked and distributed more than 4.5 kilograms of methamphetamine in addition to cocaine hydrochloride and fentanyl over the course of roughly five months using hotel and motel rooms across the area. In early 2018, the Coalition went on to rebrand as Bartow Against Drugs (BAD) in an effort to enhance these preventive efforts into the rising concerns of substance abuse. BAD now collaborates with multiple community members to develop campaigns and resources to help raise awareness of adolescent substance abuse and the dangers associated with it.
