In December 2022, Appleton law enforcement officials seized twelve pounds of fentanyl after investigating a home. There were almost 54,000 pills of this substance with street value worth over five hundred thousand dollars. Police also seized firearms. According to authorities, this was the largest fentanyl seizure they had ever experienced in the area. Two people were arrested.
