Many jurisdictions order random pre-trial or probation drug testing. If you are on probation and need a drug test (or a series of them), you can register online for a test or call us to schedule it. Please note that we do not do breath alcohol PBTs in the state of Colorado.

Types of Probation Drug Tests

Court-Ordered drug tests for probation vary, and are put in place based on the offense of the individual and the determination of the court. These can be five, nine or 10 panel tests. Often, they include an alcohol test. Common drugs tested for include propoxyphene, barbiturates, opiates, PCP, marijuana, amphetamines, cocaine and benzodiazepines. If a test comes back positive for any of these drugs, there is a confirmation process, and you will be always be given a chance to explain any prescription medications you are taking to our physician prior to the release of the results.

What happens if I fail a probation drug test?

It’s important to realize that there are usually consequences when a court-ordered drug test is failed while on probation. The courts take any violations of probation seriously. Typically, individuals may be subject to more stringent restrictions, sent to a drug rehabilitation program, or, sometimes, sent to jail. It's also possible that an individual’s probation period might be extended if a drug test is failed.
